Maresfield Photo Competition
This year's photo competition closed in late September. Judging of the entries was undertaken by Brian Goode of the Uckfield Camera Club, who was impressed by the excellent quality of the 60 entries received. The entries were judged 'blind', with the name of the photographer not revealed to the judge.

The £50 Amazon voucher for the best image, used on the cover of the calendar, was awarded to Chris Durham of Underhill, Maresfield.

The calendars are now on sale at The Chequers and on the MCG Shop page on this website, which offers free delivery to members in Maresfield village.

You can enter now for the 2026 competition - see details below...

Competition Rules:
-
The photos should be of landscapes, wildlife or village scenes taken somewhere in Maresfield Parish. If you would like to check the parish boundary, you can find a MAP on this page.
-
Each photo must be in landscape format (wider than it is tall) to be suitable for the calendar.
-
By entering you give the Conservation Group the right to use your photos on the MCG website and in the calendar and to crop or edit the images to suit the calendar format.
-
Entry is free so you can send in as many photos as you like. Photos taken in past years are good too!
-
The deadline for entries is midnight on Monday 21 September 2026.
-
Email your entry giving your name and stating where, and in which month, the photo was taken to MaresfieldPhotos@gmail.com
-
Please attach the photos to your email in the highest resolution possible in jpg, jpeg or png format.
-
Judging takes place ‘blind’, in other words the judge does not know who took the images when they select the 12 photographs for next year’s calendar and the winning image for the cover.

Please make sure your images are in landscape format to suit the calendar. Images in portrait format can't be used.
Please have a read of the rules below before you enter.

Good luck!
